#AlgarveGP
The fifth round of the 2022 MotoGP season puts a strain on the riders wearing Suomy SR-GP due to unfavorable weather conditions. Pecco Bagnaia, who started from the last position due to a bad fall in qualifying that left him with a strong trauma to his right shoulder, was the author of an incredible comeback and ended the race in eighth position.
“Our goal today was to finish eighth, and we did it, so we can be happy. It wasn’t easy, but my team and the Clinica Mobile did a great job, putting me in a position to race. I tried to stay calm at the start, but it wasn’t easy. Then, fortunately, I was able to find my pace and my feeling with the bike was incredible even though we had little time to test it in the dry. I’m satisfied with the result, and now I’ll try to rest and recover as much as possible ahead of Jerez.”
Francesco Bagnaia – 8st
World Standings P. 10
MOTO2
Dramatic Sunday at the Algarve circuit for Moto2, where many riders crashed due to a wet corner on the ninth lap. A good performance for Romano Fenati, who gained two positions at the end of the first lap and was able to maintain a constant pace throughout the race, crossing the line in eleventh position.
“Unfortunately it was a bit of a hectic race. A first start, then many crashes and then in the second restart I felt more at ease thanks to a small modification to the bike. We still need to improve for Jerez, but we are on the right way. Now let’s think about Jerez, I’ll give it my all!”
Romano Fenati – 11th
World Standings P. 20
