#QatarGP
The penultimate race of the MotoGP World Championship takes place in Qatar, where our Suomy rider Pecco Bagnaia wears an S1-XR GP helmet with a special graphic designed by Starline.
At the Losail circuit Pecco takes a further step towards the world title by crossing the finish line in second place. Starting from the second row, our Suomy rider immediately takes the lead from the first corner, managing the gap from his pursuers for the first part of the race.
On the nineteenth lap Pecco is joined by a fierce Fabio di Giannantonio, to whom he is forced to give up the first position.
During the Sprint Race on Saturday, however, Pecco is unable to obtain the desired result, finishing only in fifth place.
Pecco leaves Qatar with 437 points, 21 points ahead of his direct rival Jorge Martín, with whom he will compete for the world title at the last and decisive grand prix in Valencia.
The fight for the championship can end already with the Sprint Race on Saturday if our Suomy rider manages to score 4 points more than the Spanish rider.
#suomyriders, be ready to cheer for Pecco in the grand finale!
“This is a fantastic result; it means we can arrive at Valencia with a bit of a gap in the championship. It will not be easy because 21 points are not enough to relax but we are happy with the work done, I was expecting this pace yesterday, but I wasn’t in the position to do it. We managed to do a great start and I had the possibility to show my pace which was incredible, the only thing was the mistake in Turn 1 when I got sucked by the slipstream of Fabio, it was a scary moment for sure and I lost a lot of time. I was lucky because with the pace we made, I had a big gap. I wanted to win, it was the only result for me, but I didn’t expect this amount of suction and I almost lost it. I think I was able to fight for this win, but second position is a really good result in any case.”

MOTO3
Our Suomy rider Romano Fenati returns to score points in Moto3, with a good performance that allows him to finish in eleventh place, after being forced to complete a great comeback race.
“Unfortunately, I had little feeling at the front; I felt the bike closing a lot under braking. I went wide to save it, and I lost positions. As I worked my way back up, I fought and did my best to get into the points.”
