#SanMarinoGP

At the Misano circuit, a spectacular Pecco Bagnaia accomplishes a heroic feat that seemed almost impossible after the accident suffered at the Catalan Grand Prix.
Accidentally hit by Brad Binder’s motorbike at the Montmeló circuit following a scary fall, our Suomy rider doesn’t want to miss the San Marino Grand Prix and competes despite severe pain in his left leg.

A great test of courage and determination faced by Pecco, who not only decides to race but also does it to the best of his ability, managing to take third place in both the Sprint Race on Saturday and in the race on Sunday.

At the Misano circuit Pecco wears a special helmet born from the collaboration with Gianpiero D’Alessandro, an internationally renowned illustrator, who draws for Pecco a determined pink teddy bear that almost seems to fly in a blue sky, a hymn to freedom and the carefree times of childhood.

“It was a tough weekend, but we succeeded in achieving our goal, which was to finish in the top-5 in both races. One week ago, we were struggling, and it was difficult to consider a race weekend like this, so this was the maximum we could do. I tried to stay with Martin for as long as possible, but my leg, the fact that I was riding only with my arms and the front tyre pressure didn’t allow me to do it. When it started to be too difficult, I had to leave a bit of a gap to Bezzecchi, and I just tried to breathe a bit and have a bonus of performance in the last two or three laps so as not to give a chance to Pedrosa to overtake me. But I’m incredibly happy and proud of the work we did, and I only lost 14 points instead of a possible 37. Now we go to India for a race where physically I will be in better shape, and we will try and score more points for the championship.”

MOTO3

An exciting race full of surprises also for Romano Fenati in Moto3, who starts from eighteenth place on the grid and then finishes in tenth position, making an extraordinary comeback. Our Suomy rider Romano Fenati, who is awaiting the birth of Lucrezia, also wears a special pink helmet at the Misano circuit which depicts a stork in flight with the words “dad on board”.

MOTOE

With the Grand Prix of San Marino the MotoE championship comes to an end with our Suomy rider Matteo Ferrari winning third place in the general classification.
Our Suomy rider fought for the world title until the end against his rivals Casadei and Torres, but was unable to achieve the goal, also due to a penalty which forced him to start from tenth position after setting the first time in qualifying.

““I am a bit disappointed with how the championship ended as we couldn’t finish on the podium in neither race at home even though we deserved it given how Friday went. Unfortunately we finish third after battling for the title all year long. Surely there’s disappointment but we hold our heads high; we did our best and we have to start back from this. I’d like to thank the whole team and every single person that is part of this squad as I’ve always felt at home and gave their very best always. We made some mistakes together and lost the title eventually, but also won a lot and secure some great results that allowed is to get a spot in the top three for the fifth consecutive year, which is not a result that can be given for granted.”
Matteo Ferrari – Race 1 – 6th; Race 2 – 7th
